Matt:
THE THIRD VICTIM by LISA GARDNER An unspeakable act has ripped apart the idyllic town of Bakersville, Oregon, and its once-peaceful residents are demanding quick justice. But though a boy has confessed to the horrific crime, evidence shows he may not be guilty. Officer Rainie Conner, leading her first homicide investigation, stands at the center of the controversy. It's hitting too close to home, bringing back her worst nightmares, threatening to expose her secret sins. But with the boy's life at stake, she won't let anything stop her from finding the real killer. With the help of FBI profiler Pierce Quincy, Rainie comes closer to a deadly truth than she can imagine.
Above: Matthew Gray Gubler plays FBI Profiler Pierce Quinn as he looks at evidence firsthand. Jared: Matthew, I am definitely hooked by the story and coming from a crime scene show, this was right up your alley. It is very believable and I like your pose, the only thing I'm concerned about this round is that I'm not completely wowed because this coming from you seemed pretty predictable. Good luck! Jensen: I buy it. Of course I do lol I just wish we could see your face. The photo is too small and compact and your face is hidden. Not horrible though by any means. Shai: Why is this predictable? I have no idea who Matthew is, so I don't think this is predictable. I like the setup,I wish I could get more of your face in this but it doesn't bother me. I say you did Decent this round!

Selena: La Belle et la Bête ( Beauty and the Beast) by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve Selena is portraying Belle, the beautiful young merchant's daughter who captures the heart of hideous beast. Jared: Selena! Absolutely! Everything about this photo screams Beauty and the Beast. I love your pose and your dress, hair, shoes, etc. Everything works. Well done and way to bounce back, m'dear! Jensen: Beautiful, brilliant and spot on. Nothing could be better this round, Shai: I am in love with this submission. I don't think I have anything but Oooooo and Ahhhhhhh.

Eva:
The Flock: The Autobiography of a Multiple Personality by Joan Frances Casey & Lynn Wilson When Joan Frances Casey "awoke" on the ledge of a building ready to jump, she did not know how she had gotten there. And it wasn't the first time she had blanked out. She decided to give therapy another try. And after a few sessions, Lynn Wilson, an experienced psychiatric social worker, was shocked to discover that Joan had MPD--Multiple Personality Disorder. And as she came to know Joan's distinct selves, Lynn uncovered a nightmarish pattern of emotional and physical abuse, including rape and incest, that nearly succeeded in smothering the artistic and intellectual gifts of this amazing young woman. Above: Eva Green represents on the left Joan's "normal" self and on the right represents her "troubled" self, although they were really one in the same. Jared: This may well be one of, if not the first real artistic looking photos of the season and I am completely drawn in. Just the way the mirror splits into sections and the way you are reflected back makes this absolutely believable. You look stunning and, if I might, just enough crazy for this to work very well. Awesome! Jensen: This is great. I really like this photo and it fits so well with the theme at hand. Great job. Shai: Fantastic! This is great! I love the split mirrors, very symbolic of the struggle within her mind. I just love this submission!

James: james francos as the wizard of oz inviting you to take a stroll down the yellow brick road with him. written by L. Frank Baum Jared: Alright, let me start with what I don't like; I really dislike how cropped this looks, I would have liked to see more of the surroundings of Oz. I also feel that, since you did star as Oz, this, like Matthew, wasn't that big of a stretch for you. On the plus side, I can tell it is Oz because I see that yellow brick road plain as day, but there are so many elements to Oz that, like I said, I would have liked to see more. Good luck! Jensen: This is great, but I hate your face. It's probably the lighting or the air brushing. Also, hate the compactness of it like Jared mentioned. Shai: I really hate that someone keeps mentioning PREDICTABILITY. That is not a fair critique. So let me get to the photo now, I do like this and I think you are charming and handsome, I would of liked to have seen more of the landscape and beauty that is Oz but not too bad. I think the problem this round is that the competition is fierce like lions.

Ayumi: "The Year After: A Memoir" by Ashley Warner The book is an autobiography of the year after the author's rape. Taken from this excerpt: "I showered. It occurred to me as we were standing there that I could shower. Showering was my first independent decision after. I will shower. I announced it. “I am going to take a shower.” The others seemed as relieved by this plan of action as I was. Ah, yes, good, they said. That’s what to do. Shower. How good it felt to stand under hot water! Washing my hands and arms at the hospital had done little to clean me, much less kill the rapist’s rancid stench, which mingled with the scent of my own acrid urine. My bladder had given way in those first terrifying seconds when the criminal had lifted me up by the neck, my feet kicking, a scream giving way to desperate clutching for air. I had smelled like the darkest corners of a filthy subway stationall afternoon, well into the night, for the sake of forensic evidence. Finally, in my shower, lavender soap! Can this be the same day? Clean clothes! How I had taken for granted those simple comforts. Small luxuries were all you could count on, really." I felt the mix of pleasure and sorrow in this picture conveyed the emotion in that scene. Jared: To be honest, I had to do a Google search because you look so much like Jessica Alba in this photo that it is uncanny. I love that you have this in b&w and it's a profile shot. You hit at least 2 of the judges favorite things and I believe you are right, everything you wanted to convey in the image from the excerpt is there. My only issue is the quality being a little off. Overall though, good job! Jensen: I absolutely agree with you. You are conveying the emotions in your face and your pose. This is a beautiful profile shot, but most of all, I think this is a powerful photo/book. Good job. Shai:I like this and I don't like this. Yes, the quality is off but that's not what is bothering me. There is something 'lifeless' about this shot that makes me not like it. I see the connection and I do agree that its a good portrayal from the book. So I must say not too bad Ayumi!

Don't worry, I'm feeling the same with Shai and Ayu.
If I could defend my picture and try to change her mind in future ranking (<3) , the lifeless feeling - Well, the character was raped earlier in that day.

beginning to think Jensen just doesn't like James Franco I love James Franco. I just don't think he does well in modeling games. Not your fault, he's handsome in his own way (I think he's very hot) but he just doesnt' pull it off for me in these games. I think Jared has played as Franco before and knows how I am. I'm pretty fair though. Hope you understand <3
